But {Name} was never content to simply go to work, come home, and {hobby}. With the encouragement of his wife, {Name}, he {ran for local office/donated to causes/volunteered time/served on boards}. Some of the organizations that have benefitted from the family’s generosity are: {list}.

{Name} is survived by his wife, along with their children {Names} as well as {list other relatives}. He was preceded in death by {relatives}.

A memorial service is scheduled for {time and date} at {location}, with a reception to follow at {location}. The reception will be the place to share stories of how {Name} impacted individuals and the community at large. {Community official} will speak, and refreshments will be served. At a future date, {building/monument/etc.} will be dedicated in {Name}’s name.
